Southern Food has its own place in American culture.  Complicated no doubt with the South’s history, at its best it brings up images of hospitality and close-to-the-farm cooking.  It is those aspects I focus on.  You will find a focus on local ingredients from areas I have lived for years.  Specialties like Vidalia Onions, Appalachian Ramps and, of course, barbecue sauces.
